Then once you arrive inside the shop, check behind the desk near the entryway. The owl can be found on the right, next to the prefects' table. After a bit of running it will eventually explode and a red brick will appear. Use Reducto magic on the chest outside of the shop so that you can pass it and enter the shop. Red Bricks Character Studs: at the end of the left table there's a big brick - once you use magic on it, it will turn into a chicken. One is located in the Emporium (use Wingardium Leviosa magic to snag it) and the other is in the Borgin and Burkes shop, just off the lower left side of Knockturn Alley. A Red Brick is left behind, so lift it and carry it left to the owl to deliver it as usual. Finally, you can find two of the Gold Brick items in Diagon Alley. Each of the 10 standard bonus levels that you complete will yield yet another brick.
After that, the red bricks will show up on the second floor of the owl emporium in Diagon. Another 12 of the bricks are available for outright purchase from the shop in Diagon Alley. When you do find a red brick, you need to deliver it to Hedwig who is standing on an owl post nearby. Find each of them (as described elsewhere in this guide) for another Gold Brick piece. Besides the students that you can rescue in story stages, there are an additional 26 students who have found trouble throughout the halls of Hogwarts Castle. Scattered throughout Lego Harry Potter - Years 1-4 are 200 gold Bricks which you can collect in order to gain access to a bonus level in Borgin & Burkes, the antiques shop that can be found in Diagon Alley. If you collect all 24 bricks for a 'Year' in the game, you can head downstairs in the tavern to assemble an object and get another brick, for a total of 4 more bricks when you finish all four years. You can obtain four bricks within each of the 24 story mode stages by successfully completing the stage for the first time, by earning a 'True Wizard' rating, by rescuing the stage's Student in Peril and for completing the House Crest assembly. There are 200 Gold Brick items available in the game.
